Updates on content and paid subscriptions now pay out to PauseAI US
Starting today, paid subscriptions pay out to PauseAI US, because I talk so much about my work and I don’t want there to be any question of personally profiting at the expense of the organization. This is like paying me, because PauseAI US pays my salary, but the money is more properly accounted for. We are a registered 501(c)(3) and you can claim your subscription as a charitable donation! (Contact me if you want to give large amounts and we can do it without fees 😀)
That brings me to the issue of paid content. I started the paygated section to write more personal or spicy stuff, but I don’t want to let it hang out to the degree that I used to. I might unpublish some of the currently paygated posts.
I see a lot of potential directions for paid content but I want to open it to discussion to get a sense of the demand. Paid subscribers please feel free to message me privately (here or on twitter, @ilex_ulmus) if you prefer.
Other than supporting me and PauseAI US, what do you want from a paid subscription?
Your post(s?) about scrupulosity, which introduced me to the concept, were/are very important to my psychological development. I think in general you have an interesting perspective on things and seem like someone who takes their principles seriously.
Finally finally, I'd like to know about anti-AI branding. Why do we see no consumer products or software that's branded as not using AI?
I think promoting anti-AI branding would be really helpful to the cause as well as a good marketing strategy for those of us revolted by anything AI.
