My defense
Since my post about Baker's Law and the evolution of sex was so popular, I thought I might as well throw up my defense presentation.
I’m always surprised by what content from my former life as a scientist people find interesting. I had assumed my defense would be too in the weeds, but then my post on Baker’s Law and justifying the cost of sex was super popular (by my standards).
This is a recorded rehearsal of my defense lecture with the slides. You’re going to need the slides to follow this presentation, but you’re welcome to try it as podcast if you like! There are few important moments when Powerpoint didn’t record what I was saying as the slide transitioned :/
This is a video of the actual defense, and my oral presentation was better, but unfortunately the audio is worse and the slides are unreadable in it. There is no missing audio in this recording, though.
These are the slides.
And this is my dissertation. You can see all my academic publications on my Google Scholar profile.
